This is a newly created role where you will be working for one of the world's leading engineering and scientific based companies. The business is well established and has an excellent reputation for the design and installation of high value turn-key equipment for a global market. They are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who will predominantly work on site, with occasional work from home opportunities.

Role & Responsibilities:
- You will work closely with the Design Manager on the design of Electrical schematics, from initial design, hands-on support for machine modification and hardware test within the system.
- Produce, modify and manage electrical design schematics, technical files and supporting design documentation.
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplined team, gathering requirements to understand the purpose and use of equipment.
- Attend design and client meetings and take part in design reviews, especially FMEA, to ensure "right first time" solutions.
- Provide support to production teams to increase understanding of the latest machine platforms, as well as working with the Field Service team to support the installation and troubleshooting of machines at customer sites.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Qualified to HNC in Electrical Engineering
- Electrical Design experience - on machines / equipment
- An understanding of low voltage and machinery directives / ability to produce clear schematics and cable drawings
- Proficient in the use of Electrical CAD Software, such as AutoCAD or Zuken E3.
