Location: East Midlands with Stay Overs

Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday

We are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join our growing team.

  • Installation and Commissioning: Install and configure air conditioning systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerant lines, and electrical components. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to determine system requirements, select suitable equipment, and design system layouts. Adhere to installation standards, codes, and safety guidelines during the installation process.
  • Preventive Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. Test system controls, thermostats, and sensors to ensure accurate operation. Identify faulty components, electrical issues, refrigerant leaks, or other problems that affect system performance.
  • System Optimization: Evaluate and optimize air conditioning system performance to achieve energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Adjust system settings, airflow, and refrigerant levels to maximize cooling efficiency and minimize energy consumption. Provide recommendations for system upgrades or improvements to enhance performance and reduce operating costs.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner, addressing their concerns and providing expert advice on system operation, maintenance, and energy-saving practices. Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, colleagues, and suppliers regarding project requirements, scheduling, and equipment specifications.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on air conditioning systems, ensuring the safety of yourself and others. Stay up to date with industry regulations, codes, and best practices related to air conditioning installation. Promote and maintain a safe work environment, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

Requirements for the role:

  • F/Gas Certification
  • NVQ Level 2 Refrigeration and air conditioning
  • Must have a full driving license
