A leading manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the team at their state of the art manufacturing facility. This role will involve the breakdown, assembly, testing & commissioning of capital machinery. The successful candidate will have proven experience in a Manufacturing/assembly environment. This opportunity offers technical development & clear progression routes.
Role Description
- Assist the production team in building machinery to specification
- Strictly adhere to all Health & Safety regulations
- Ensure that production targets are met safely and efficiently within the working environment
- Work cross functionally with design and technical teams, on build issues, to produce a superior product.
- Actively assist in continuous improvement and standardisation projects and processes
- Take part in working on customer sites abroad, assisting with the assembly, test, and commissioning of new machinery
Skills and Qualifications
- Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering - Time served
- Has experience of using Mechanical Engineering processes in assembly and fitting
- Strong experience working in a manufacturing/assembly environment
- Has experience of working to engineering drawings
- Experience working in a customer facing role is preferred
