A well-established engineering services business is looking to recruit Electrical/Mechanical Engineers to join its growing team in either Ipswich or Peterborough. Working across both workshop and customer sites, you'll be responsible for the repair, overhaul and maintenance of a wide range of rotating equipment and electromechanical systems.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong mechanical and electrical experience looking for a varied role offering hands-on workshop work, site-based projects and overtime opportunities.
The Role- Carry out servicing, overhauls, repairs and testing of pumps, electric motors, gearboxes and fan units
- Strip and inspect equipment, identify faults and determine repair requirements
- Attend customer sites for equipment removal, maintenance, repair and reinstallation
- Complete alignment, bearing replacements, servicing and general electromechanical repairs
- Ensure all repaired equipment is tested and operating correctly before return to customers
- Participate in a shared on-call rota for emergency breakdown support
- Previous experience as an Electrical and Mechanical Engineer
- Experience working on pumps, motors, gearboxes, fans or similar rotating equipment
- Able to fault find, repair and overhaul industrial machinery
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Organised, methodical and proactive approach to work
- Full UK driving licence
- Salary dependent on experience
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Overtime opportunities available
- Shared on-call rota
- 21 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
