Part of a large International Group, this successful manufacturer leads the way in R&D and solutions to industry. The business has developed over 150 variations and is experiencing excellent progress in the market. They have exciting growth plans to double the turnover over the next 5 years and they are currently looking for a Design Estimator to support this.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate 2D AutoCAD drawings to accompany customer quotations
- Proactively handle customer enquiries received by phone, email, website contact forms and social media
- Understand customer requirements by asking the right questions and providing knowledgeable advice
- Produce accurate and commercially appropriate quotations
- Recommend suitable products and solutions based on customer requirements, specification and budget
- Follow up quotations proactively, developing customer relationships and working to improve conversion rates
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in an estimating, technical sales, customer service or similar customer-facing role
- Experience within a manufacturing or construction related environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with customers
- Experience using AutoCAD 2D and the ability to produce clear, accurate technical drawings
- Good understanding of technical drawings and an appreciation of manufacturing processes
