A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shift Production Manager to join a well established manufacturing business in Gloucester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious leader with experience in a fast-paced production environment to join a business investing heavily in its operations and future growth. You'll be responsible for leading a production team, driving operational performance, and ensuring safety, quality and productivity targets are achieved.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead production teams across shift operations
- Drive performance against production, quality and safety KPIs
- Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met
- Lead, motivate and develop team leaders and operators
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor labour utilisation, efficiency and operational costs
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company procedures
- Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to optimise performance
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Production Manager, Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager
- Strong leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- Proven ability to manage KPIs and drive performance improvements
- Strong communication and people management skills
- Health & Safety focused approach
- Experience within FMCG, Food, Packaging, Automotive, Chemical or General Manufacturing environments would be advantageous
