Do you want to work for a leading poultry processing manufacturer, part of a multi‑national UK group, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry‑leading standards? Due to growth within the engineering team, they are looking for a days based shift engineer.

Role & responsibilities of a maintenance engineer:

  • Carrying out PPM, reactive & predictive maintenance/breakdown analysis
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding, repairs & PPM's
  • Working on various high‑speed food production lines, processing & packaging machinery
  • Site services & facilities maintenance
  • Support project work and continuous improvement activities
  • PLC & control panels - electrical fault finding & repairs

Knowledge, skills & experience needed to be a maintenance engineer:

  • Must be a multi-skilled engineer - electrically biased
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 or higher in electrical engineering
  • Be a problem solver, approachable, with good prioritisation skills
  • Able to react to breakdowns effectively, safely and efficiently
  • Both electrical & mechanical fault‑finding capabilities
  • Need to be comfortable working in poultry processing & production facility
  • Ideally have worked in food, FMCG, industrial fast‑paced manufacturing
