Project Engineer
Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands
£42,000 - £48,000 per annum
40 Hours per Week Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:00
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Sutton Coldfield. This role offers the chance to lead a variety of engineering projects, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support the introduction of new products, equipment, and processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering projects from initial concept through to installation and commissioning.
- Produce, review and maintain CAD drawings and associated technical documentation.
- Specify, procure, install and commission new machinery and manufacturing systems.
- Manage project budgets, timelines and project risks.
- Coordinate contractors on site, including reviewing RAMS and supervising works.
- Manage suppliers through specification, FAT, SAT, installation and project handover.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across manufacturing operations.
- Support new product introduction and industrialisation activities, including engineering trials and prototype builds.
- Assist with the development and validation of manufacturing processes for new and improved products.
- Ensure all projects comply with Health & Safety legislation and relevant industry standards.

Essential Experience
- Delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.
- Producing and interpreting technical drawings.
- Introducing capital equipment and manufacturing systems.
- Managing contractors and external suppliers.
Essential Skills
- CAD experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar).
- Strong project management capabilities.
