We are recruiting for a dedicated PPM Service Engineer to join a specialised team who focus solely on a major national supermarket contract. This role is perfect for someone with solid mechanical and basic electrical skills who is eager to learn and willing to travel.

The Role

  • You will be responsible for the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) of small to mid-sized compactors and balers, ensuring safety, functionality, and maintaining great relationships with site managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting PPMs on vertical and horizontal balers across the UK mainland.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving basic electrical and hydraulic issues.
  • Providing clear service reports and feedback to both customers and the Service Manager.

What We Are Looking For

  • We need someone who is keen to learn and will take pride in their work. If you have a background in the Armed Forces, or experience maintaining electrical/hydraulic equipment such as forklifts or lifts, your skills will likely transfer perfectly.

Experience:

  • Proven field service background.

Skills:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge.

Mindset:

  • A positive attitude, a willingness to undergo further training, and a commitment to health and safety.

Location:

  • Ideally based along the M1 corridor for easy dispatch.
