Role Description
- Focus on Health & Safety methods in manufacturing areas, driving improvements and continuously working on best practices
- Effective and regular communication with staff and peers to maximise manufacturing efficiency
- Supporting direct reports to ensure safe and efficient practices
- Implement or develop robust training programs
- Oversee apprenticeship programs offering the best training and coaching
- Develop methodology to measure engineering performance
- Full responsibility for departmental spend on resources (projects, labour, materials, capital equipment)
- Real time performance measurements
- Overseeing and developing a CMMS to deliver analytics
- Ongoing coaching and development of staff for Continuous Improvement
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 Years manufacturing experience within an engineering leadership role
- Track record of successfully managing and developing teams and individuals
- Experience in developing a robust Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Experience in applying CI / Lean principles in a manufacturing setting
- Project Management experience
- IOSH: Managing Safely qualification / Occupational Health & Safety qualification (Preferred)
