Our client is a leading manufacturer that has been established in the local area for a number of years. Due to site investment and development, they are looking for an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their close-knit team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical & mechanical support & repairs for all production equipment & site services
- Fixing production machinery, industrial processing equipment, conveyors, packaging machinery, automation & controls, PLC's, site services & facilities
- Supporting with project work - new machine & production line installs
- PPM's, electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving, machine upgrades
- Use electrical test equipment to find faults on circuits
- PLC - electrical fault finding
- Mechanical fabrication, fitting, machining & welding to make parts & repairs
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Ideally be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer - confident both electrically & mechanically
- Apprenticeship trained or a time-served engineer with mechanical & electrical qualifications
- Previously worked in FMCG or packaging manufacturing
- Must have 17th or 18th Edition
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem solving skills
- PLC - electrical fault finding - desirable
- Experience of carrying out CI projects, new machine installations
- Experienced in planning & scheduling PPM work
- Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding & machining skills beneficial
