Our client is a leading manufacturer that has been established in the local area for a number of years. Due to site investment and development, they are looking for an experienced multi-skilled maintenance engineer to join their close-knit team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical & mechanical support & repairs for all production equipment & site services.
- Fixing production machinery, industrial processing equipment, conveyors, packaging machinery, automation & controls, PLC's, site services & facilities.
- Supporting with project work - new machine & production line installs.
- PPM's, electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving, machine upgrades.
- Use electrical test equipment to find faults on circuits.
- PLC - electrical fault finding.
- Mechanical fabrication, fitting, machining & welding to make parts & repairs.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Ideally be a multi-skilled maintenance engineer - confident both electrically & mechanically.
- Apprenticeship trained or a time-served engineer with mechanical & electrical qualifications.
- Previously worked in FMCG or packaging manufacturing.
- Must have 17th or 18th Edition.
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem solving skills.
- PLC - electrical fault finding - desirable.
- Experience of carrying out CI projects, new machine installations.
- Experienced in planning & scheduling PPM work.
- Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding & machining skills beneficial.
