We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturing business supplying high-quality products to major retailers and foodservice customers. Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead food safety, quality, and compliance across their site. This is a key leadership role, working closely with production, NPD, and customers to maintain the highest technical standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with production and NPD teams to enhance product quality.
- Analyse data to drive improvements and implement CAPA plans.
- Maintain QMS that meets BRC and customer standards.
- Achieve and sustain AA+ audit readiness.
- Ensure global legal compliance of all products.
- Deliver cost-efficient lab testing and effective root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with UK/EU legislation and customer codes of practice.
- Manage HACCP plans and conduct risk assessments.
- Develop, maintain, and improve QMS aligned with BRCGS, HACCP, and SALSA standards.
- Lead internal audits and manage third-party audit readiness.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Expertise in managing BRCGS and retailer audits.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Proven experience in technical/quality management within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of UK/EU food legislation and standards.
