It produces a range of food products for retail and food service markets. The company supplies both branded and own-label items to customers in the UK and internationally. Its operations include product development, manufacturing, and packaging within the food industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits of food safety procedures and practices
  • Identify and assess potential risks in the production process
  • Ensure all food safety procedures are followed as per standards and regulations
  • Report and document audit findings
  • Recommend improvements to enhance food safety measures
  • Stay updated on food safety regulations and industry trends
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on food safety practices
  • Maintain communication with management on food safety issues
  • Prepare and present audit reports and recommendations

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Food Safety Auditor or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g. HACCP, ISO 22000 etc.)
  • Excellent observational and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
  • Certification in food safety auditing is a plus
