We are working with a leading FMCG manufacturer in Oxfordshire who is looking for an automation/controls engineer to join their team. This role will be key to the development and growth on the site and help aid CI projects on their current processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, maintain, and optimise PLCs
- Develop and troubleshoot industrial robot programs
- CI – Improve cycle times, reduce waste, and boost system reliability through program updates.
- Lead automation improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting
- Create and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, schematics)
- Train production and maintenance staff on automation
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations
Requirements:
- Experience in automation engineering across manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Experience in PLC and/or robotic programming
- Strong electrical systems knowledge.
- Proven track record of process improvement and technical support.
- Competent in producing and managing technical documentation.
