Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Mechanical Design team.
- Oversee the design of bespoke automation and special-purpose machinery.
- Manage workloads, resources and project priorities.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, controls, electrical and project teams.
- Conduct performance reviews and support employee development.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Previous experience leading a Mechanical Design team.
- Strong background in special-purpose machinery, automation or robotics.
- Experience delivering projects from concept through to manufacture.
- Proficient with 3D CAD, engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset and commitment to engineering excellence.
