We're recruiting a hands-on IT Manager to take ownership of IT operations, infrastructure, security and supplier management across a growing organisation. This is a technically hands-on role, supporting a more junior member of the team, where you'll balance strategic oversight with day-to-day delivery, ensuring systems are stable, secure and fit for the business.

What you'll do as IT Manager:

  • Lead day-to-day IT operations across the business, acting as the final point of escalation.
  • Ensure systems, networks, servers and cloud services remain secure, resilient and well-maintained.
  • Oversee Microsoft 365, identity, access controls and core infrastructure.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery arrangements and wider business continuity plans.
  • Maintain cybersecurity processes including patching, endpoint protection and firewall governance.
  • Support the organisation's ERP platform and associated operational systems.
  • Provide structured documentation, IT policies and clear service processes.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to define IT priorities and deliver an improvement roadmap.
  • Manage 3rd-party suppliers, ensuring accountability, cost-effectiveness and strong service delivery.

What you'll bring as IT Manager:

  • Proven experience in an IT Manager, Senior Engineer or similar senior technical role.
  • Strong background across Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, Microsoft 365 and identity management.
  • Solid networking skills (firewalls, switching, VLANs, VPNs).
  • Experience with virtualisation platforms (VMware or Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of backup, DR and resilience planning.
  • ERP experience (any system welcomed).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical issues into business terms.
