A skilled Manual Machinist is required to support an established engineering manufacturing operation based in the Cheddar area. The role involves operating manual XYZ lathes and milling machines to manufacture and repair components used in electric motors, pumps, gearboxes and fans. You will be working closely with engineering colleagues, assisting in fault diagnosis and determining appropriate repair methods for a range of mechanical systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing work to specified tolerances and quality standards
- Following all safety procedures
- Maintaining a clean and well-organised workshop
The Package:
- £15 per hour - £40k overall earnings
- Day shifts - 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday
- Enhanced Overtime rates and On call bonuses
