We are working with a highly respected UK engineering and manufacturing business that designs, builds and supports specialist automated production equipment used by customers across food, medical and consumer product sectors. The company has an excellent reputation for innovation, customer support and long-term staff retention, with continued growth creating an opportunity for an additional Service Engineer.
This is a varied field-based Service Engineer position supporting customers throughout the UK, with occasional international travel.
You'll be responsible for:
- Installation and commissioning of bespoke automated machinery
- Planned preventative maintenance and servicing
- Fault finding and breakdown support
- Customer training and technical support
- Working closely with customers to minimise downtime and maximise machine performance
- Providing professional on-site support and representing the business to a high standard
No two weeks look the same. You could spend one week carrying out local service visits and the next commissioning a new production line at a customer site.
What We're Looking For
- Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or Commissioning Engineer experience
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Comfortable working on automated machinery and production equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow engineering procedures
- Good customer-facing and communication skills
- Organised, proactive and solution-focused approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Apprenticeship, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification advantageous
