A renowned manufacturer of special-purpose equipment, with a long-standing reputation and national presence, is embarking on an exciting new programme of development. To support this growth, they are seeking an Estimator.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Estimating Site Surveys
  • Offering Value-engineering to customers
  • Take off drawings (measuring fence lines and gate sizes)
  • Negotiating with customers
  • Liaising with purchasing department to ensure prices are up to date
  • Liaising with suppliers for prices
  • Taking incoming enquiry calls
  • Take ownership of the handover process

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience of Estimating
  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with large contractors
  • Experience of construction processes, i.e. instructions, variations, mobilisation costs and retentions
  • Ability to take off drawings
  • Experience of working within a team to ensure a full handover from Sales to Contracts
  • Ability to carry out costing reviews upon completion of a job
