A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join an excellent company who specialize in Special Purpose Machinery in the Poole Area. With no day ever being the same, the Mechanical Design Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage day-to-day project workflows and build schedules
- Coordinate procurement of components, tooling, and equipment from international suppliers
- Liaise with suppliers and internal purchasing to track orders and resolve issues
- Communicate with customers on lead times and develop project timelines
- Support compliance activities including certification, risk assessments, and documentation
- Coordinate logistics and freight movements for incoming and outgoing equipment
- Act as a technical liaison with overseas engineering teams
- Review and issue order confirmations and project documentation
- Collaborate across teams to support project delivery as required
