Great opportunity has just become available to join a niche company in Bristol which operates at the forefront of its space. You will join as a Senior Production Engineer and undertake a very varied role, overseeing the design and build of production and assembly.
The Role:
- Directly managing one person.
- Oversee the design and build of assembly fixtures and production tooling.
- Plan and oversee shop-floor layout and process changes.
- Support upgrades and commissioning of new and existing equipment to increase capacity.
- Work with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and adherence to PPM schedules.
- Work with Production, Quality, and other departments to define effective work practices and critical processes.
- Coordinate with external suppliers for equipment and service requirements.
- Using Solidworks to design jigs and fixtures.
The Person:
- Experience within Plastic/Automotive or FMCG environment, within assembly.
- Working knowledge of 6 sigma.
- ISO9001 experience.
- Experienced with design of jigs and fixtures using Solidworks.
- Knowledge and experience with manufacturing equipment used for an injection moulding process.
