Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for New Product Introduction and bringing
innovative products from concept to production? We're working with a leading Bristol-based manufacturer looking to strengthen their engineering team with an NPI Manufacturing Engineer who can play a key role in driving new product launches, optimising manufacturing processes, and ensuring products are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards.
The Role:
- Lead NPI and product industrialisation projects.
- Develop manufacturing processes, tooling and production methods.
- Support prototype, pilot and production builds.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and SOPs.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production and suppliers.
- Drive continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.
- Support product launches and production ramp-up.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency, quality and cost.
- Define production capacity, cycle times and resource requirements.
- Ensure products are designed and released for efficient manufacture.
What we are looking for:
- HND or Degree qualified in Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience within an electro-mechanical manufacturing or production engineering environment.
- Proven experience leading New Product Introduction (NPI) activities within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process validation, PFMEA, Control Plans, and APQP methodologies.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and technical specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience producing technical documentation and presenting technical information clearly and effectively.
