This is a great opportunity for a Buyer to join a well-established business who have recently won new contracts and are looking to expand their product into new markets. This role would be well suited to an experienced procurement professional or a buyer who has experience of working in a fast-paced environment, working with MRP systems and working on contracts with suppliers. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Negotiate cost-effective supply contracts and service level agreements
- Monitor and improve supplier performance against agreed targets
- Manage direct and indirect procurement to ensure continuity of supply
- Collaborate with planning to align material forecasts with demand
- Optimise inventory levels while minimising risk of stockouts
- Report on key KPIs including cost savings, supplier performance and stock levels
- Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives year on year
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Buyer in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (Dynamics 365, NAV, SAP or similar)
- Highly analytical, numerical and detail-oriented
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
