Our client is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead a small team, and ensure that projects are running smoothly by providing technical advice. This hands-on role requires strong leadership skills and experience within construction or modular build related sectors.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead, Lead and mentor a team of 2 Design Engineers, managing workload and project delivery
- Act as the key link between Design, Manufacturing, Projects, Procurement and Installation
- Lead client design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout projects.
- Ensure designs are accurate, compliant and optimised for manufacture before release.
- Oversee BIM, Revit, QA, document control and design standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, performance and the wider design function
About You
- Strong design experience within manufacturing, construction or related engineering environments
- Strong design experience with a focus on Design for Manufacture (DfM)
- Experience delivering engineered products from concept through to manufacture
- Strong technical design background within a fast-paced engineering environment
