Procurement Officer Bootle, Merseyside Monday to Friday £28,000 to £30,000 DOE Pension, Healthcare, Life Assurance, Holidays & Development Opportunities This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join a well-established manufacturer. Working within a busy supply chain function, you will be responsible for purchasing raw materials and finished goods, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring stock availability to support production requirements. Role Description Manage purchasing activities to support manufacturing operations Analyse MRP demand and raise purchase orders Build and maintain strong supplier relationships Negotiate pricing, lead times and service agreements Monitor supplier performance and resolve supply issues Maintain accurate purchasing, stock and supplier records Manage imports and coordinate delivery schedules Support inventory control and stock accuracy initiatives Drive continuous improvement within purchasing processes Ensure compliance with company quality and H&S standardsSkills and Qualifications Experience in a Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain role Background within manufacturing or production environments Experience using MRP/ERP systems Strong supplier management and negotiation skills Good understanding of inventory and stock control processes Strong communication and organisational skills Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelCompany Information Our client is a successful and growing manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality and innovation.
