Are you an electrical engineer looking for a fresh challenge? I'm working with a food manufacturer who is looking to expand their engineering team. This role is for someone looking for a long-term project, including machine upgrades, team development and increasing the factories efficiency and capacity. This role is open to people from a variety of engineering backgrounds, but you must have drive, ambition and passion for growing your engineering career!

Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform maintenance and fault-finding on machinery, including Siemens PLCs and various electrical production equipment.
  • Reporting & Collaboration: Report to senior management and work with engineers and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Automation Projects: Assist in upgrading manual machinery to automated systems to support business growth.
  • Project & Continuous Improvement: Lead and suggest improvements and project work to enhance efficiency.
  • Compliance & Support: Ensure compliance with standards and provide support for production running 24/6.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: Electrical or multi-skilled engineer with a strong electrical bias, qualified to NVQ Level 3 and 18th Edition.
  • Experience: 5-8 years' experience in an engineering role.
  • Technical Background: Open to candidates from any industry, not limited to maintenance backgrounds.
  • Flexibility: Willing to take part in an on-call rota on a flexible basis and comfortable with occasional weekend work, typically every other week.
