Role & Responsibilities:
- Conduct consistent review of outstanding POs to ensure production and customer demand is maintained.
- Ensure that all production requirements are met and customer delivery achieved OTIF.
- Review vendor performance and manage the relationships to achieve a maximum stock turn and quality accuracy.
- Liaise with internal staff to manage min/max settings and vendors.
- Ensure stock condition and layout is maximised to ensure quality pick/pack and delivery.
- Liaise with other engineers to develop and implement systems and processes that improve overall production operations - utilising LEAN practices.
- Maintain zero lost time status and ensure working practices are followed within the area and team.
- Train, mentor, and supervise staff to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and maximum output efficiency.
- Set department objectives & KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Ability to provide and deliver process control to situations.
- Hands-on, forward thinker with genuine desire to grow the role and department.
- Strong knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
- Proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong engineering knowledge and understanding - with a hands-on approach.
- Proficient in analysis of data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
- Courage to challenge and speak up when faced with resistance.
