Maintenance Engineer – Wincanton, Somerset. Salary: £45,500 – £47,000 per annum, Monday – Friday (early finish Friday). 33 days holiday, increasing holiday, additional leave for birthday, career progression & development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Planned maintenance inspections; review parts used
  • Recommend improvements in line with projects and maintenance schedules; carry out safety checks on range of equipment
  • Monitor plant conditions; report defects; repair of machinery
  • Generate and maintain compliance to SOPs and risk assessments
  • Report on plant performance using systems; ensure action on non-conformance issues
  • Work on a range of valves and pumps
  • Support production and continuous improvement projects

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Formal engineering qualification – C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
  • Continuous improvement knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
  • Experience in food, packaging, drink, manufacturing environments
