We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Finance Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, support senior leadership with meaningful financial reporting, and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the business.

- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and month-end journals
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and detailed commentary for senior management
- Manage accruals, prepayments, VAT returns and other relevant statutory submissions
- Oversee stock valuations and work closely with Production teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company procedures and internal controls
- Lead and support the finance team, ensuring best practice and consistent use of financial systems
- Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies, maintaining the integrity of financial data
- Partner with departments across Sales, Production, Operations and Dispatch to provide financial insight and support
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes, controls and reporting systems
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Accountant or similar finance leadership role
- Experience preparing management accounts and financial reports
- AAT qualified or equivalent finance qualification
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification would be advantageous
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience managing or supervising a finance team
- Experience using financial analysis to support business decision-making
- Experience working closely with operational and non-finance departments
