A global manufacturer is looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their growing team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The role involves reactive and proactive maintenance at a 24/7 production site, contributing to continuous improvement projects, and maintaining safe working practices in line with Health & Safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Electrical and Mechanical PMs, Reactive & Breakdown maintenance
- Work within a skilled maintenance team
- Report into the Maintenance Manager
- Maintain fast-paced production lines in a high-volume environment
- Contribute to Kaizen/continuous improvement projects
- Machine installations
- Engage in internal and external training and development opportunities
- Adhere to Health & Safety on site at all times
Skills and Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship with mechanical or electrical qualifications
- Strong background in Packaging, FMCG, Food or Plastic manufacturing with clear understanding of PM schedules
- Fault-finding ability electrically and mechanically
- Motivated to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics; knowledge of Kaizen, Six Sigma and 5S, Continuous Improvement Methods
- Proven experience in a fast-paced environment
