A growing local business, part of a multi-billion-pound global manufacturer, is looking for an experienced Facilities & Site Services Engineer to oversee the effective operation of all site services, facilities & utilities.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety, legislation compliance, reliability of all site services, facilities & utilities equipment.
  • Responsible for electrical infrastructure, extraction systems, HVAC, boilers, compressed air systems, gas distribution, water and fire suppression systems.
  • 50% hands-on – testing & fault finding on equipment.
  • Monitoring plant facilities performance, planning maintenance activities.
  • Suggesting and making improvements.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experienced senior facilities / site services engineer.
  • Happy to be hands-on resolving issues and hands-off managing compliance, contractors, suppliers.
  • HNC / HND qualified in facilities engineering.
  • Strong understanding of facilities engineering principles, both electrical & mechanical.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills – dealing with contractors, internal teams, vendors.
  • Knowledge of compressed air systems, HVAC, industrial boilers, fire suppression systems.
  • Proactive person – able to think outside the box, identify issues, suggest improvements.
  • Beneficial if dealt with hydraulics, valves, gearboxes, drives.
