A specialist vehicle manufacturing business is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design, development and continuous improvement of complex products. This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to an engineering professional with strong technical knowledge, proven people management skills and experience working closely with production and quality functions.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering function, overseeing product design, development and change control
- Ensure all drawings, BoMs, configurations and engineering documentation remain accurate and up to date
- Support production with new product introductions, prototyping and design-for-manufacture improvements
- Coordinate engineering change requests, cost-down initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Work cross-functionally with sales, production, quality and suppliers to deliver high-quality products
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Strong engineering background with experience in engineering design and/or manufacturing environments
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and multiple development projects
- Solid understanding of CAD systems, BoM control, document control and MRP processes
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
