We're recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer to join a global engineering business at the forefront of industrial automation technology. This is an opportunity to become the technical expert for a market-leading range of automation products, supporting customers and colleagues across Europe with PLC integration, industrial networks, fault finding, testing and technical problem solving. What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing technical support to teams across Europe
  • Supporting customers with the integration of automation products into PLC and control systems
  • Diagnosing product, electrical and communication faults
  • Setting up, programming and testing PLC-based automation systems
  • Working with industrial communication networks and fieldbus technologies
  • Recreating customer issues within a test environment to identify root causes
  • Testing and validating new and existing automation products
  • Producing technical reports, user guides and engineering documentation
  • Delivering technical training sessions to customers and internal teams
  • Supporting technical meetings, customer visits and industry exhibitions across Europe

What We're Looking For

  • Understanding of PLC programming, ideally Ladder Logic or Structured Text
  • Knowledge of industrial automation systems and communication networks
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities

Qualifications

  • HNC, HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline
  • Candidates with approximately 1 year's industry experience are encouraged to apply
