This highly successful Mechanical & Electrical Building Services contractor has built a fantastic reputation for the quality, delivery and reliability of their design and installation services. Extremely highly regarded in their industry, they are experts at delivering complete design services for a diverse client base throughout the UK, across commercial, industrial, government and healthcare sectors. They are growing their Mechanical department and are looking to recruit another two career-focused Design Engineers to further support this growth.
The role may suit a Mechanical Engineer from a Consultancy, looking to expand their career within a faster-paced environment. Alternatively, you may be working for a Contractor and looking for an opportunity which provides a huge amount of autonomy and a chance to help drive the growth of a relatively new Mechanical department.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Develop / implement mechanical building services design solutions, working on several projects simultaneously - commercial, healthcare, industrial.
- Conduct detailed analyses and calculations.
- Support the preparation and review of Mechanical design drawings.
- Liaise with BIM co-ordinators and lead activity to ensure that the design packages are produced to the required timescales and standards of quality.
- Provide support to the Project Managers during the design, installation, commissioning and testing phases of the project, ensuring the timely production of all necessary documentation.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Degree Qualified in Mechanical Engineering.
- Demonstrable experience in detailed Building Services Design engineering, including Mechanical calculations on plant equipment, sizing pipework, schematics etc.
- Proven track record as an Engineer in both a design office and in construction.
