The Role
We are seeking an experienced Mechanically Skilled Engineer to join a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This is a key position within a multi‑skilled engineering team, responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, reliability, and safety of high‑speed production equipment. You will also be given electrical training courses and qualifications to become a multi‑skilled maintenance engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair fast‑moving, complex manufacturing equipment to minimise downtime
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and PLC‑related faults
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Work on pumps, valves, conveyors, and high‑speed machinery
- Apply strong root cause analysis techniques to prevent recurring issues
- Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and compliance
About You
- You will be an apprentice‑trained engineer with strong experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- You’ll be confident working independently and as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Proven experience in a multi‑skilled engineering role within a fast‑moving manufacturing or logistics environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering background
- Experience working on high‑speed machinery, pumps, valves, and PLCs
- Good working knowledge of filling and process technologies
