Position Introduction: Due to a recent promotion, they are looking for an electrically biased shift engineer to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out PPM’s, reactive maintenance & continuous improvement projects
- Industrial electrical fault finding & problem solving, along with minor mechanical repairs
- Support reliability engineering, looking to make things run more efficiently
- Working on various production & packaging machinery, conveyors, automation & control systems
- PLC – electrical fault finding
- Use and regularly update the CMMS systems
- Dealing with industrial equipment, motors, sensors, servo drives, proximity systems, control panels, inverters, contactors, gearboxes, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Must be an experienced electrical biased engineer or industrial electrician
- Level 3 qualified or higher in electrical engineering – apprenticeship trained
- PLC – electrical fault finding skills
- Must have worked in fast-paced manufacturing previously
- Willingness to learn new things and suggest improvements
- Must be able to read & follow electrical & pneumatic schematics & drawings
- Team player, but able to work on own initiative when needed
- Previously have worked on high-speed production, processing & packaging machinery
