A business at the forefront of grid transformation technology is looking for a HV Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. In this role you will work very closely with the Engineering Design Manager to support ongoing project delivery. This will include design reviews and guiding junior team members. You will remain hands on in the engineering team, carrying out the design and development of HV switchgear, protection and other grid associated components.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Electrical Design
- Strong knowledge of HV substation design (33KV +)
- Detailed understanding of HV/MV protection & control systems
- Knowledge of 18th Edition and other associated UK standards is beneficial
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and other associated electrical design software
- Team leadership / project management experience would be beneficial
