This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your skillset as a hands-on engineering team leader in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Role Description
- Manage and prioritise breakdowns ensuring that all work is carried out quickly and effectively.
- Co-ordinate the work of engineers, ensuring all reports and records are completed correctly and issued within the correct timescales.
- Assist in the performance management of the team.
- Ensure the achievements of the Engineering KPIs and targets are met.
- Mentor and support the team.
- Assist in the development of the Engineering department to enable the business to grow.
- Ensure all company procedures and rules are adhered to and issues are dealt with fairly, promptly, and consistently.
- Ensure all plant and equipment are maintained and kept operational and safe.
- Quick response to breakdowns and its rectification, ensuring that all work is carried out in an effective and safe manner.
- Fully support improvement initiatives and development of the Engineering department to enable the business to grow.
Skills and Qualifications
- Good Engineering Knowledge gained within an FMCG environment.
- Self-managed and able to influence others to gain their maximum performance.
- Experience with projects is highly advantageous.
- HNC or NVQ3 or higher in engineering with supervisory experience – ideally.
- Good communication and IT skills.
