This is a great opportunity to join the engineering team of an established manufacturing business in Ebbw Vale. Hunter Selection are working with an expanding business looking for a Maintenance Technician. This role will see you involved in engineering processes such as planned maintenance, rectifying breakdowns and involvement in improvement and installation projects. This role will enable you to develop your own career through training courses and support from the Engineering manager, as well as a four day week.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • To provide support to production operations in all issues.
  • Carry out shift to shift activities by prioritising productions needs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Engage as a member of the multi-skilled Engineering team, working with the team to continuously improve the maintenance function.
  • Diagnosis and resolution of equipment breakdown issues.
  • Involvement in projects, plant improvement and equipment manufacture.
  • Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance activities.
  • To provide site support for the building and facility maintenance and security.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Timed served apprentice
  • Multi skilled, formal electrical qualification with demonstratable mechanical experience
  • Instrumentation systems (Thermocouples, level control, loop control)
  • Knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic control systems
  • Competent in the use of a lathe, MIG welder and other workshop equipment
