Company Overview:
An established UK-based manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a busy production facility in Coventry.
Working within a small engineering department, you'll play a key role in supporting site operations, ensuring equipment reliability and driving continuous improvements across the plant.
The position would suit an engineer who enjoys a hands-on role, can work independently and is comfortable operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventive maintenance activities across a range of production assets.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Supporting equipment upgrades, modifications and improvement projects.
- Completing maintenance documentation and updating electronic maintenance records.
- Identifying recurring issues and contributing to long-term reliability improvements.
- Assisting with equipment installation, refurbishment and general engineering projects.
- Monitoring spare parts usage and supporting stock control activities.
- Working closely with operational teams to maintain efficient plant performance.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to diagnose basic electrical control faults.
- Experience interpreting technical drawings, maintenance manuals or engineering documentation.
- Fabrication and welding experience desirable.
