Our client is an industrial processing business, part of a larger group, with multiple sites in the UK. Due to an increase in headcount within their engineering team, they are looking for an experienced electrical biased shift engineer.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, installation, improvement and modification or upgrade of plant, fully automated production & packaging machinery and site services.
- Steam & boiler system maintenance.
- Follow PPM schedules efficiently & effectively.
- Electrical fault finding & modifications of PLC's, HMIs, SCADA systems and control panels.
- Mechanical repair and fault finding.
- Work on hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, motors, contactors, inverters, sensors, drives, valves.
- PLC electrical fault finding.
Qualifications
- Multi‑skilled engineer – must be electrically biased.
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering – time‑served apprenticeship.
- Excellent problem‑solving & fault diagnosis skills.
- Knowledge of production environment, continuous improvements & development.
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding and repair skills.
- Experience working in fast‑paced FMCG manufacturing/production environment.
- Experience with boilers & steam systems is advantageous.
- Experience with PLC systems, control panels, HMIs & SCADA systems.
- Bonus if have 17th/18th edition.
