Company Overview:
A specialist engineering design company in the Warwick area is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to support projects across multiple sectors. Our client is known for solving complex mechanical problems and delivering high-level solutions for globally recognised manufacturers.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design projects from concept to production, ensuring technical quality and delivery on schedule
- Oversee CAD, FEA and detailed design, providing technical sign-off
- Drive project strategy, technical direction, and programme delivery across multi-disciplinary teams
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring best practices and high standards
- Manage supplier and customer relationships, ensuring requirements are met and ongoing support provided
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (2:1 or above), preferably a Master's or second degree
- Extensive experience in mechanical design, CAD and simulation (SolidWorks, CATIA, FEA, MBD, MATLAB/Simulink)
- Hand calculations and analytical validation skills
- Excellent communication skills with clients, suppliers and multi-disciplinary engineering teams
