Are you a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a secure role with a leading manufacturer?
We're recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and growing processing/manufacturing business in Aylesbury. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business that invests heavily in its people, equipment and continuous improvement programmes.
You'll play a key role in maintaining production performance through planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdown support and involvement in exciting engineering improvement projects.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across manufacturing and processing equipment
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical breakdowns
- PLC fault finding and troubleshooting
- Supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects
- Working closely with production teams to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime
- Identifying root causes of recurring issues and implementing long-term solutions
- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with company procedures
The Candidate
To be considered for this Maintenance Engineer role, you should have:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification
- Experience as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Experience working within manufacturing, food production, FMCG, processing, packaging, pharmaceutical or industrial environments
- PLC fault-finding experience
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
- Full right to work in the UK
- Competitive salary of £47,000
