Working as part of a team of 15 engineers to support production by keeping downtime to a minimum.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) and condition monitoring
- Electrical and mechanical fault‑finding on production equipment
- Supporting planned upgrades, installations, and improvement projects
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues raised by production operatives
- Working safely and supporting site Health & Safety standards
- Maintaining uptime across automated and semi‑automated processes
Equipment & Processes You'll Work On
- Conveyors, elevators, baggers and banders
- Fanuc robots
- Curing ovens and environmental systems
- Plastic injection moulding and strip moulding equipment
- Silos and bulk handling systems
The manufacturing process involves high‑volume production with integrated moulding, cutting, curing, spraying and automated racking systems.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Multi‑skilled engineer with a
70/30 electrical bias (moving toward 60/40)
- Networked systems
- Safety circuits and interlocks
- Mechanical competence across:
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Gearboxes, shafts, bearings and drives
- Experience working in
heavier engineering or industrial manufacturing
- Confident working in fast‑paced, physically demanding environments
- Able to work independently and within a team to resolve breakdowns efficiently
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Electrical testing & inspection experience
- Welding or fabrication skills
- Experience with injection moulding, brick, tile, or aggregates manufacturing
- Health & Safety qualifications or formal training
