Roles & Responsibilities

  • Adjust machine parameters to achieve precision cutting and shaping according to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality inspections to verify accuracy, consistency, and compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Troubleshoot minor issues with the machine and escalate complex problems to the maintenance team.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve efficiency and workflow.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Recognised time-served apprenticeship/modern apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, along with either NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience operating CNC machines, preferably in a metal fabrication environment.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
