We are recruiting an Electronics Design Engineer to join a growing engineering company near Gloucester, working on the design and development of bespoke transformers, magnetic assemblies and power electronic products. You'll be part of a collaborative team, involved in the full product lifecycle and helping to deliver innovative solutions for customers worldwide.
The Role:
- Design and develop power electronic systems and control circuits.
- Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Use electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN or similar.
- Strong knowledge of transformers, magnetic components and electromagnetic principles.
- Experience with electrical testing, validation, fault finding and continuous improvement.
- Understanding of electrical standards, compliance requirements and manufacturing processes.
What we are looking for:
- Proven electrical design experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Design and development of power electronics, magnetic assemblies and specialist electrical equipment.
- Support products throughout the full lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to production.
- Produce detailed electrical drawings, BOMs and engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing and project engineering teams.
- Carry out design reviews, product testing and technical problem-solving to enhance performance and reliability.
