My client is seeking a Linux Technician to join their growing team and get hands-on with all aspects of supporting their Linux systems. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level Linux specialist to join a growing MSP, become a go-to engineer for keeping client production environments running smoothly, and continue developing your skills across automation, containerisation, and virtualisation.
Responsibilities
- Fixing Linux incidents/outages
- Server patching and security updates
- Ticketing updates
- Basic infrastructure tasks including server/printer registrations
- Production monitoring and support
Essentials
- Strong Linux experience (CentOS/RHEL/Oracle Linux)
- Strong patching experience (yum/dnf, kernel updates & safe reboots)
- Troubleshooting CPU, memory, disk, network, services
- Experience using ticketing tools
- Analysis logging
- Bash scripting
- Experience in live production support
- Active SC or eligible to obtain SC clearance
Desirable
- Ansible or similar automation tools
- VMware or virtual machines
- Basic networking & firewall knowledge
