About this job
A great opportunity is currently available for a mechanically biased engineer to join a well-established engineering business. The company supports a varied client base across sectors such as general manufacturing, agriculture, and food production.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical repairs and servicing on rotating equipment including motors, pumps, and gearboxes.
- Work to tight deadlines to meet customer expectations.
- Support the wider team by undertaking related tasks when required.
- Overhaul and reassemble a variety of industrial machinery and components.
- Perform fault-finding and breakdown diagnostics on mechanical systems.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
- Complete workshop documentation accurately and hand over to the Workshop Supervisor or Manager.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar hands-on mechanical role.
- Ability to carry out basic mechanical fault-finding.
- Comfortable working with workshop documentation and procedures.
- Experience with motors, gearboxes, and pumps.
- Basic IT skills required.
