Description:
We are hiring on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing construction company delivering a mix of residential and commercial projects across Northern Ireland and the UK. This is an opportunity for a driven individual who is commercially astute and keen to take ownership of major schemes from pre-construction through to final account.

The Role:
• Appoint and negotiate with sub-contractors on projects
• Manage sub-contractor packages from appointment through to final account
• Take the commercial lead on schemes, including valuations and variations
• Submit valuations and variations to clients accurately and timely
• Prepare monthly cost reports in line with project budgets
• Build strong working relationships with Contracts Managers and Site Teams
• Identify and resolve cost-related issues efficiently
• Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors within your project team
• Undertake additional duties as required
The Person:
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline
• Minimum of 10 years’ post-grad experience, ideally within residential and commercial construction
• Confident in estimating, pricing variations and contract negotiation
• Knowledgeable in JCT/NEC/PWC forms of contract
• Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills
• UK travel required bi-weekly and UK Driving Licence
